Castlegar, BC –New location for Castlegar’s WorkBC Employment Services Centre set to open on Tuesday October 31st
Kootenay Career Development Society (KCDS) is excited to announce that the doors will be opening at their new Castlegar WorkBC Employment Services Centre location on October 31st!
“The renovations are almost complete, and we are very excited to welcome the public into our beautiful new space on October 31st” said Jocelyn Carver, Executive Director at KCDS. “It was important to us to create a space for job seekers and employers that feels welcoming and energized and I think we’ve achieved that.”
Over the past several months, KCDS has been working hard to renovate the former Kootenay Savings building, located right in the heart of downtown Castlegar at 1016 – 4th St. The new space will provide a central location for job seekers to access tools, resources, and services that will support them to find employment. “We’re looking forward to being more accessible to our clients and visible in the community, and it’s wonderful to be part of the revitalization of the downtown core”, said Carver.
The new WorkBC Employment Services Centre will house a state of the art resource centre, new offices for employment counselling, a new training centre for group based training and workshops as well as a central meeting space.
